Submission from Visitor:
I'm sure this isn't unique, but it warmed my heart because it's uncommon. I was substitute-teaching for a 6th-grade class in Parker the day after Halloween. One of the trick-or-treating stories shared was by Marlo, a sweet girl who was usually very quiet. She said she had been approaching a house with a sign that said "Please help yourself to one piece of candy" and saw two teen-agers empty the entire big bowl into their bags before running off. Marlo and her friends decided to take a few handfuls from each of their own bags to replenish the candy bowl for the remaining trick-or-treaters! :-)

It's Just Good to Be Alive and With Others
Looking at the wreckage left by the devastating tornadoes that hit Alabama, volunteers thought there would be few survivors. Turns out they found more than a few of the canine variety and went from rescuing one beagle, to an entire backseat full of animals in need. You would figure an entire car filled with animals who have never met could be chaos... but not here. *And yes that is a cat right there snuggled in the middle!
